Author, entrepreneur, television personality and season-one “Apprentice” winner Bill Rancic is co-host of “In the Loop with iVillage,” a live interactive daytime program focusing on relevant and entertaining topics for today's modern woman. He co-hosts alongside actress and comedian Kim Coles and television personality Ereka Vetrini.
Rancic brings a myriad of life experiences to the show, having most recently served as a “financial buddy” on “Rachael Ray,” offering tips and suggestions to improve viewers’ financial well being. He also worked for real estate mogul Donald Trump as the Owner’s Representative at the Trump Tower Chicago, his chosen profession after beating 15 other contestants to win “The Apprentice” in 2004. Rancic also is a professional motivational speaker, traveling around the country and speaking to educational institutions and corporations on how to achieve success through hard work and ingenuity.
Rancic has also authored two books. His most recent, “Beyond the Lemonade Stand,” is an educational and motivational book for children highlighting the importance and value of money. “Beyond” is the follow-up to his New York Times best seller, “You’re Hired: How to Succeed in Business and Life from the Winner of ‘The Apprentice’.”
Before appearing on “The Apprentice,” Rancic founded the company cigarsaroundtheworld.com at the age of 23, working out of a 400-square-foot studio apartment. Today, the company is a multimillion-dollar national operation that is part of a larger publicly traded company, Synergy Brands, where he serves on the Board of Directors. Rancic began his career while in college with a boat washing and waxing company in the Chicago area. The profits helped pay for his college tuition.
Rancic is dedicated to serving and giving back to the community. He serves as a board member and mentor to underprivileged children at The Mercy Home for Boys and as co-chair for the annual fundraiser at The National Children’s Alliance for abused children. In addition, he and his sisters have created a scholarship fund in memory of his father, a life-long educator, to assist students who demonstrate a financial need and desire to become educators. An Illinois native, Rancic graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in 1994.
He is a recent newlywed, having married “E! News” anchor Giuliana DePandi in Italy last month.
