Where you’ll need to go: Ice rink
Things you’ll need: Helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, tutu, leotard, sweatpants, jacket, gloves, lip gloss and glitter makeup
Directions: Go to your local ice rink and rent a pair of skates. In the locker room, dress your wannabe figure skater in a leotard, sweatpants and a tutu (The Land of Nod, $29). Style her hair in a low bun. Then, dab some lip gloss on her lips and shimmer on her cheek bones so she resembles Team USA figure skater Tanith Beblin. Before you leave the locker room, put her in a jacket and the necessary protective gear. Once she looks the part, head out on the ice and hold her hand while you slowly skate around the rink.
Why your kids will love it: Your girl will love showing off the fancy tutu that she normally wears to her ballet class to everyone on the ice.
Safety recommendations: Make sure your girl keeps her helmet on―even if she thinks it’s ruining her look.
