Got the brown-bag blues? Don’t give up on one of the most important meals of the day. Lunch gives your kid an opportunity to load up on a third of a day’s recommended nutrients. Here are ten creative ideas (nut-free and healthy) to help you out of the PB&J rut.
1. Little Bites
Make mini versions of your kid’s favorite sandwiches by removing the crusts and shaping them with cookie cutters. Load the sandwiches into a compartment of a bento box container and fill the other parts with crunchy veggies like sugar snap peas, and mini fruit kebabs on toothpicks. And try to mix up textures and colors so it’s appealing to the mouth and eye.
