You can tweak your eating to get more energy and feel healthier. These simple guidelines can help.

1. Don't deny yourself the occasional indulgence; just follow the 80/20 rule. (Eat healthy 80 percent of the time and splurge 20 percent).
2. In general: Fill half your plate with vegetables, one quarter with lean protein and one quarter with starch.
3. Eat low-fat dairy such as Greek yogurt or string cheese.
5. Drink tea instead of soda.
6. Eat eggs for breakfast.
7. Eat at least two servings of fish a week.
8. Throw an apple and some almonds in your bag for a low-calorie snack.
