At the start of the movie, Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts) is a twice-divorced, unemployed mother of three, with nothing to her name except $74 and a closet full of low-cut blouses. But when she lands a low-level job in an attorney’s office, feisty Brockovich finds a way to channel all her anger and energy into a good cause -- winning a giant settlement for water pollution victims in southern California. Although the real-life Brockovich had no legal experience when she took on the investigation against Pacific Gas & Electric, she now runs her own consulting firm, where she continues to be a crusader for what's right. And Roberts won a best actress Oscar for telling her story. Talk about a happy ending all around!
