Mommy Time: 16 Real-Mom Reasons to Have Date Nights

To get away in the sports car with a stack of our favorite CDs, dinner reservations and an evening for us -- that is the supreme date night. I still get excited just showering and dressing for the date -- I even paint my nails and wear earrings! --iVillager Melissa

One of our most romantic times was a special anniversary when I picked my husband up from work with a bag packed for us and a hotel room key wrapped in a little box for him to open. We got to have a romantic, leisurely dinner, some time in the hot tub and an entire evening for just us. It was heaven! --iVillager Kady

After we had been married for a few years, my husband's number finally came up for Bears season tickets. On the Saturday prior to a game I get the blankets and tailgating supplies ready. Sunday morning we take the kids to the in-laws and have breakfast together. We get to walk the mile plus into the stadium holding hands, talking about nothing in particular. We get to bond over the game and we know many of the season ticket holders in our area, so it's like a big double date. We indulge in really raunchy junk food, and after the game our ride home is quiet and peaceful. It isn't most women's idea of the ideal date, but for us it is romantic and gives us a chance to be alone together -- even if we are with 25,000 screaming people! --iVillager Danna
