It's been a bumpy ride for baby Josie, who was born on Dec. 10 at just 25 weeks to Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. The littlest Duggar spent the first few months of her life in the neo-natal intensive care unit of Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. She was released on April 6, but had to return to the hospital days later when her vital signs fell. Josie was treated and released again on June 3, but she had to be kept away from her brothers and sisters for a few more weeks because 12 of them had come down with the chicken pox.
But on June 25, the huge family was reunited after mother and child arrived home to Tontitown, Ark., where they were met by streamers, hand-made "Welcome Home" banners and, of course, the rest of the Duggar kids.
"It is good to be home," Michelle tells People. "It is surreal to be here. It was such a long time we were away."
Michelle says, after her tough entry into the world, Josie is flourishing and is tipping the scales at a "chunky" 9 lbs., 1 oz. "She has a double chin now," she says. "It is so precious."
19 Kids and Counting returns to TLC on Aug. 3 at 9 p.m.
