"Occasionally moving a car seat and giving a child a different perspective can help settle him down."
18. Travel at night
"Last year we drove to Disneyland and left at 3:30am. The kids were very excited at first and I thought they would never go back to sleep, but once the exhaustion took over, they had no choice. My husband and I took turns driving and somehow ended up getting plenty of rest while we drove. I will not travel any other way. It was a win-win situation."
19. Stay in kid-friendly hotels
"We make a point of only staying in hotels with room service and continental breakfast, which makes mornings so much easier."
"Children don't care about all the perfect little details we parents stress over. Don't cram too much 'stuff' in the day. Enjoy being together, factor in play time and keep it fun."
