You don’t have to spend a lot to set a beautiful holiday table. The secret is to invest in a few classic pieces you can use over and over again. Weave fun, inexpensive accessories into your tabletop to create a unique display for each occasion from Thanksgiving through New Years. When I’m setting a traditional table, I like to give a nod to the past but also add some unexpected touches. For example, try using yellow instead of orange and gold for Thanksgiving. Start with the right tablecloth to set the stage for a festive evening. A runner, especially on a dark wood table, is the perfect way to add some visual dimension and whimsy.
