chime in nowThe FDA recently issued new rules to make sure our bottles of sunscreen really deliver what they promise. Although the updated labels won’t be hitting the stores this summer, so for now it’s important to stick to the golden rules of sun protection… Always use at least an SPF of 30 anytime you’re spending time outdoors (bonus points for 45). Be liberal with it—the rule of thumb is a minimum of one ounce (the size of a shot glass) to cover your body and a teaspoon’s worth for your face. And be sure to reapply every two hours (and more frequently if you’re in and out of the water). After all, lobster-red isn’t exactly a great color on anyone.
