Step 1: 5-Warm Up

Urban Jungle's Chief Instructor Joshua Votaw designed a workout to tone your arms, sculpt your shoulders and engage your core. Do the workout three times a week, for three weeks, increasing the intensity with more reps or using modifications. Start by warming up, go through steps two through six, repeating four times. Finish with a cool down.

To get warmed up, run in place or do jumping jacks for the first minute to open up the lungs and get the heart pumping. Spend the next four minutes doing arm circles to warm up the shoulders and arms. Try these for 30 seconds for each:

Small arm circles forward, then backward
Large arm circles slowly forward, then backward
Right arm rotations: stand with left leg forward, right leg back and rotate right arm back; switch the rotation forward
Left arm rotations: stand with right leg forward, left leg back and rotate left arm back; switch the rotation forward
