As Liz Lemon would say, "Blerg!" That seems to be how the 30 Rock cast is feeling about their first live shows (one for each coast), airing Thursday on NBC at 8:30 p.m. ET. "So much can go wrong," show creator and star Tina Fey told reporters on Tuesday.
Like what exactly? Well, for one, Tracy Morgan, who stars as the show's out-of-control Tracy Jordan. "The only fear factor is Tracy," star Alec Baldwin (who plays network exec Jack Donaghy) half-joked to Entertainment Weekly.
But Morgan isn't worried. "Seven years of SNL have prepared me for this," he told reporters. "I read the script and I know my lines ... I'm going to disappoint a lot of people."
Perhaps, in what would be a shock to fans, Morgan will be the only one who doesn't mess up his lines. Jack McBrayer (Kenneth Parcell), says that he's worried about cursing on live TV, while Jane Krakowski (Jenna Maroney) is okay with screwing up a line or two -- as long as someone else does it first. "I just don't want to be the first one to make a mistake," she said.
Details of the live episode's plot is being kept under wraps, but rumor has it that it will be about Liz Lemon's 40th birthday and that her former flames, including Carol (Matt Damon) and Dr. Drew Baird (Mad Men's Jon Hamm), will be making appearances.
And Tina Fey has a word of advice for all viewers: "People shouldn’t watch if they’ve taken any kind of heavy medication," she told EW.
