4 How-to's to Savvy Coupon Clipping

  • Hot Coupons: this site allows you to search for coupons by ZIP code or geographical area and organizes the results in easy-to-use topics. Click through for savings alerts in grocery, restaurants, auto and retail, to name a few.
  • Val-Pak Coupons: As with other sites, you submit a ZIP code to find discounts, and you also can get an email alert when new offers are available in your neighborhood. The site summarizes the specials available with a message such as "You have 38 coupons today, July 30, 2001." You can also search by keyword.
  • ValuPage: Entering your ZIP code leads you to supermarkets in your area offering coupon savings. You print the coupons and take them with you when you shop. If you like, you can also submit your email address to receive a weekly e-newsletter. (One important caveat: Although ValuPage says it will not distribute your personal information, it warns consumers that third parties involved in their email distribution may require such information. Be very careful about this privacy policy if you're at all concerned about receiving junk email).

You can try out all of these services to see which one provides the best information for your area. And to get clipping and swapping right away, visit Money's Coupon Clippers message board.
