5 Alternatives to Trick or Treating

The weather here in Canada (we're already struggling to get above freezing during the day) gets so rotten sometimes that we just don't go out for Trick-or-Treating. Instead, we go to the mall. All the stores get together to make Halloween a fun and safe night, especially when you have little ones. Each store has someone standing out front, the kids get to go up and say, "Trick or treat!" and then they give them candy or little toys. They also have special activities in the food court and give away things like Halloween books written by local authors. It's been great fun; we've gone the past two years. --Parent Souper Daniele
