50 Cent Hospitalized After Car Wreck with a Mack Truck

The rapper's rep says he's "doing fine" and was released from the hospital after being treated for minor neck and back injuries

Rapper 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) was hospitalized early Tuesday morning after a car accident in New York. But despite some terrifying pictures of 50 being carried away from the scene of the accident on a stretcher with a brace around his neck, the rapper is reportedly on the mend.

"Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson was involved in a car accident in New York early Tuesday morning," his representative told Access Hollywood in a statement. "He was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for minor neck and back injuries. He was released this morning and is doing fine."

The incident occurred on the Long Island Expressway, when a Mack truck rear-ended Jackson's SUV and the car -- in which 50 was a passenger -- almost flipped over. According to ThisIs50.com, the truck driver told police that his load shifted and he "lost control of the vehicle."

Jackson's driver was reportedly also treated for injuries, but thankfully it seems that everyone involved in the accident has emerged relatively unscathed.
