6 Strategies That Beat Post-Pregnancy Pudge!

Become a child yourself. As your child grows, mimic his energy, his movements, his curiosity. Children can't help but run, climb, tumble, jump and bounce. If you child goes up the ladder, follow suit. Play tag, play catch, play ring-around-the-rosie and actually fall down and get back up again a few dozen times. Wear your workout gear to the playground and use the monkey bars for some chin-ups, the park bench for bench dips, and the ladder to stretch.

• Just a quick note to let Fit by Friday readers know about a great cause. My good friend and writing partner Suzanne Schlosberg felt her most useful contribution to society was offering information to her friends who had missed key episodes of the TV show Law and Order. She decided she had more to offer society than that so this year she embarked on Mission Implausible: At her own expense she has been volunteering her time and energy to various charities around the globe.

Do you have a favorite charity you'd like to see get some support and publicity? Suzanne will volunteer for one week (again, at her own expense) to a charity that submits a request to her ''Free Suzanne'' contest. To submit your entry or find out more about this event, go to missionimplausible.com and check it out. Or email Suzanne directly at Schlos1@aol.com.
