chime in nowIt’s tempting to pop an extra pain reliever when you’re feeling that familiar pressure, but you may just make your headaches harder to get rid of. Analgesic headaches, or “rebound” headaches, are triggered by excessive use of headache medications. If you’re experiencing rebound headaches talk to your doctor about managing the pain without risking another headache. To help prevent future problems take medications exactly as prescribed, keep over-the-counter medicating to a minimum, and concentrate on finding the cause of your headache rather than simply masking the pain.
