“Clean up the garden now, so you don’t have a mess in the spring,” advises Majorelle. “Pull up all the annuals. It’s up to you whether you want to cut back all your deciduous perennials, like coneflowers, so you don’t see those dead stalks. I like looking at the rough ends of the plants, but a lot people prefer to cut them off and compost.”
