Actress MacKenzie Phillips Busted For Drugs At Airport
Talk about a life-long battle.
Actress MacKenzie Phillips, who played Julie on the '80s sitcom One Day at Time, was arrested this morning at LAX, after authorities found drugs on her.
"She was being screened by airport security when a small amount of what appeared to be heroin and cocaine were found on her person," Sgt. Jim Holcomb said. "She was arrested at about 10 a.m. and is still in custody."
He added: "The substances were found in balloons and baggies."
MacKenzie has been fighting these drug demons for years, as she originally fired from the Valerie Bertinelli show back in the day, because of her addictions. She had since gotten clean and even played a drug counselor on 90210 in 1994.
Here's hoping she gets the help she obviously still needs.
