Good news, Adele fans! The "Someone Like You" singer's recent throat surgery went off without a hitch, and she is now busy recovering so she can get back on the road to make up for the performances she was forced to cancel earlier this year.
The 23-year-old British songstress, who was diagnosed with a vocal-cord hemorrhage earlier this year -- took to her blog on Monday to update fans on her condition... and the news was all positive.
"Thank you for all your positive thoughts and get well wishes. I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all," Adele wrote. "The operation was a success and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors."
In addition to her voice, the singer's sense of humor seems to have come out of the surgery unscathed. "I best get back to practicing my mime show now," she concluded. "Take care, miss you all."
Adele was forced to cancel both her sold-out summer and fall U.S. tour dates due to illnesses that threatened her vocal abilities. At one point, rumors even surfaced that the singer might have throat cancer, but her reps reiterated that the issue was a vocal-cord hemorrhage.
"Singing is literally my life, its my hobbie, my love, my freedom and now my job," Adele wrote on Oct. 4, in a post explaining the cancellation of her fall tour dates. "I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or i risk damaging my voice forever."
Though unplanned, Glee celebrated Adele's recovery in its own special way Tuesday night. Stars Amber Riley and Naya Rivera performed an emotional mash-up of Adele's hits "Rumour Has It" and "Someone Like You" during the episode "Mash Off." With any luck, Adele will be singing her own tunes again very soon.
