When you were watching the Grammys on Feb. 10, did you notice the man who tried to steal Adele's spotlight? Many viewers didn't, but security guards at the awards show certainly did.
The man, now identified as Ukraine's 1+1 TV presenter Vitalii Sediuk, was arrested for trespassing after the stunt. He was placed in jail for the night and has a court date set in March, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
As can be seen in the above video, it was Jennifer Lopez who managed to keep the situation under control. Sediuk could be heard saying, "It's such an honor to receive this award. I love you, Adele," as the British singer walked onto the Grammys stage, but Lopez gave him a harsh look and sent him away with a flick of her hand. As he exited the stage, she gave him one last glance before paying attention to Adele.
Interestingly enough, Sediuk didn't have any sort of credentials when he appeared at the Grammys. Instead, he just walked down the red carpet and seated himself in the second row seat that belonged to Adam Levine. Levine arrived late to the show, so he reportedly sat on the ground because his seat was taken. Didn't anyone think to mention this before Sediuk strutted up on stage?
If Sediuk's name sounds familiar, it's because he's also the man responsible for kissing Will Smith at the Moscow Men in Black 3 premiere. The stunt earned Sediuk a smack from the actor -- which was much better than the night behind bars he received after the Grammys!
If Sediuk is trying to take after known prankster Sacha Baron Cohen (remember that stunt with Ryan Seacrest and the ashes?), then someone should give him a little advice: You need to become an incredibly successful comedian before Hollywood's elite will put up with your crazy antics!
