Everybody has that one wacky uncle, right? For George Alexander Louis, the newborn Prince of Cambridge, that uncle would be Prince Harry. And Harry is preparing to be the best bad influence a little boy could have. While speaking at a charity event on Thursday, Harry announced that he is responsible for making sure Prince William's son "has fun."
The mind boggles. Certainly, Harry knows how to have fun -- but he also knows what it's like to have a good time turn into a bad reputation. Therefore, the life lessons probably shouldn't stop with "have fun." Here are 4 other valuable things Prince Harry can teach his new nephew.
Lesson 1: Choose your Halloween costumes carefully. When Harry decided to be edgy and wear a Nazi uniform to a 2005 costume party, he found himself on tabloid covers and had to make a public apology. If he'd just dressed as a member of KISS, none of that would have happened.
Lesson 2: Don't take your clothes off in front of strangers. When you're a baby, it's okay to be naked all the time. When you're a monarch on leave from military duty in Las Vegas? Less so.
Lesson 3: Learn to swim. If George takes after his uncle at all, he'll end up dancing the night away in a Croatian nightclub. And as Prince Harry learned in 2011, some Croatian nightclubs have swimming pools extremely close to the dance floor.
Lesson 4: Keep calm and carry on, even when people bump into you. Harry had an unfortunate incident with a photographer in 2004; the pap accidentally hit him with a camera, and the prince responded by giving him a split lip. This kind of behavior could get little George kicked out of preschool, so best to nip it in the bud.
To his credit, Harry also told reporters that he'd keep his nephew "out of harm's way." We think this uncle thing will work out well for both of them!
