chime in nowIf you offer your child nothing more than an apple or banana for an after-school snack, there’s a good chance you’ll be greeted by shrugs of boredom. Suggest simply melting some bittersweet chocolate for a dipping sauce, however, and fruit becomes a fabulous treat. Cut up fruit like apples and bananas ahead of time and store in the fridge, so all kids have to do is zap some chocolate chips in the microwave when they get home from school. For variety, try freezing banana halves or grapes—kids will love dipping the cold treats into the warm chocolate.
