The ladies of Bravo's Real Housewives series have never been accused of being conventional, but it seems Alex McCord (of The Real Housewives of New York City) is hell-bent on one-upping all of them.
McCord, 36, along with hubby Simon van Kempen, has written a parenting book called Little Kids, Big City: Tales From a Real Housewife in New York City that's sure to stir up some controversy among parents, experts and pretty much anyone who reads it.
The New York Daily News reports that in the book, which hits stores tomorrow, McCord writes, "Throughout my pregnancy, I gave into every craving I felt...When I wanted to have a drink, I did." And the reality-TV star recalls how she drank champagne while in labor!
The couple also divulge that they brought son Johan (now 4 years old) to the trendy NYC watering hole Mercer Kitchen to sip cocktails when he was a newborn (with older brother Francois, now 6, in tow).
But the couple's book isn't the only thing causing others to question their parenting choices. While McCord claims they have a nanny on hand for the boys two evenings a week, a source snitched, "They definitely go out A LOT during the week," adding, "They'll go to practically any event to be seen." Does the drama ever end?
