What's your secret weapon in the kitchen?
A tasting spoon given to me by my grandmother. I keep in my jacket at all times.

What food do you hate or refuse to eat, and why?
I try to keep a very healthy and active lifestyle—I won't eat anything that has processed sugars or chemical preservatives.

What's always in your refrigerator?
Unsalted European butter, dry salami, jar of capers, some sort of stinky cheese and a bottle of vodka in the freezer.

What's the one ingredient you'll always splurge on?
Extra virgin olive oil. I utilize it to finish most of my plates so it is the first and last flavor the guest experiences.

Most kids hate to eat their veggies. Can you share an easy recipe for a common vegetable that kids will actually like?
I've found that kids love eating with their fingers, and they respond to food on a visual level first and foremost. This is a dish they can eat with their fingers and is colorful and catches their attention!
