Former Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky has returned to her single status after her engagement to Roberto Martinez was called off, but there's one aspect of the relationship she may still be clinging to: her engagement ring.
While RadarOnline reported that the 27-year-old reality star had already turned over her 3-carat, asscher-cut $50,000 diamond ring to celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, E! Online says they have conflicting reports. Sources tell the site that the fair-haired bachelorette is still holding on tight to her bling.
Engaged since August 2010, Ali and Roberto just announced this week that their relationship was over. The couple had postponed their wedding a handful of times over the last year and, of course, laughed off any rumors that there was trouble in paradise. Unfortunately, for them and for their fans, there was.
E! is saying that it's very likely Fedotowsky will return the ring at some point, but she hasn't bothered to yet -- after all, it's only been two days since the engagement was called off! Plus, jilted bachelorettes before her, such as Jillian Harris, have been strong-armed into handing over the rocks that they got on the show after their relationships go sour, so this situation will likely follow suit.
While Ali and Roberto's reality TV engagement certainly isn't the first in the franchise to fail, we were certainly pulling for them and we're sorry that it didn't work out. The curse of The Bachelor/Bachelorette enagements continues!
