Want to make Ali Lohan laugh? Tell her that she looks like she's had plastic surgery. The 17-year-old model (and little sister of Lindsay) became the subject of intense speculation this September, when she showed up at New York Fashion Week looking dramatically different than the girl we all remembered. Her rep was adamant that she hadn't undergone any cosmetic procedures -- and in the upcoming issue of Page Six Magazine, Lohan says she found the whole thing hilarious.
"I was cracking up. Because, like, when would I do that? I'm 17 years old," Ali tells Page Six (via People). "That's not legal! I would need my mother's signature, and do you think my mom would ever sign off on that? No!"
Um, are we talking about the same mom here? Because we wouldn't exactly put it past Dina Lohan to sign off on her teenager's cosmetic surgery, especially if the new look could land her a lucrative modeling contract (which it did). But Ali says her mother has been telling the truth all along: The changes in her appearance were due to a growth spurt. Plastic surgery, says Ali, is "not the right thing to do."
"It's stupid," she says of the gossip. "I don't listen to it. It's absolutely not true."
In September, Dina Lohan told Wendy Williams that Ali had "absolutely not" had any plastic surgery. Lindsay also defended her sister's transformation on Twitter, calling out critics of her weight loss by writing, "I love how haters pick on my sister yet every runway model is just as thin! My sister is gorgeous and I'm so proud of her and her career!!!!"
Lindsay is not only Ali's defender -- she's also taught her a valuable lesson about not partying too hard. Ali tells Page Six that she's been offered drugs before, but that Lindsay's woes have taught her to just walk away.
"I just say no," says Ali. "I'm lucky enough that I had my sister to learn from... That's why me and Lindsay are also so close, because we're able to talk about those things together."
At least somebody's learning from Lindsay's mistakes!
