The Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney works hard for this stellar form -- and she's ready to show it off!
In the new issue of People, the actress, author and mom of two revealed her new, even-slimmer figure. But she admits that a body like that does not come easily for her. Sweeney, 34, says her Biggest Loser hosting gig has given her the inspiration to drop from a size 4 to a size 2 and gain the bravery to pose in this swimsuit.
"I can't even tell you what my life would be without the show," Sweeney said. "I'm a more confident person and certainly more well informed, and that confidence I have comes from knowing I'm doing what I need to do and working hard for it."
The Days of Our Lives star, who also wrote The Mommy Diet, says she went the extra mile in the days before her big photo shoot. Sweeney explains that she embarked on what she called "shape-up" week, a method she uses to get herself back on track with her diet and exercise and plan.
Several times a year, she says, "I cut the crap out of my diet -- cheese, dairy, carbs like bread and pasta and fatty meats."
Sweeney admits she has a love affair with popcorn, but these days she munches on sliced bell peppers and cucumbers instead. She also makes sure she gets a workout in every day.
But she still splurges now and then and refuses to feel guilty when she does.
"I'll have wine or a piece of cake once in a while," says Sweeney. "But I don't look at it as sliding backwards, even if I go a whole week without working out. I don't dwell on it and beat myself up -- I just try to have a healthier day tomorrow."
