The Fox show Moment of Truth is getting a little out of control.
First the producers reached out to Yankee pitcher Roger Clemens to get him on the show. They said it was his chance to clear his name regarding his steroid use. The money he'd win (if he won any) would go to charity.
Now reps for Drew Peterson contacted the show to get their client hooked up to a lie detector. If you remember, Drew Peterson's fourth wife Stacy has been missing since October and is now presumed dead. His third wife was also found dead in 2004, and though her death was ruled an accident, when her body was recently exhumed officials changed their findings to "homicide staged to look like an accident." Now Drew is really under a magnifying glass.
So should Moment of Truth have Drew Peterson on their show? Of course they'd want him for the ratings, but isn't that a bit sick? Shouldn't Drew's fate be left to the courts and not to a television show's polygraph test? If he is guilty and a killer, why should he get his 15 minutes of fame on primetime TV?
