    16 dried Mission figs, tough stems removed 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar, or to taste
    16 roasted unsalted almonds

      Cut a small slit in each fig at the point where the stem was and push one almond inside.

      Using a fine-mesh sieve, lightly dust figs with confectioners’ sugar.
