Amanda Bynes' meltdown has resulted in alarming headlines, several arrests, tons of Twitter followers -- and now, a job offer. The Playboy Radio channel, which premiered on satellite radio and now streams online, wants to hire Bynes to host her own radio show. Per TMZ, they've offered her a one-week trial, which could lead to a daily one-hour talk show.
The mind boggles.
Of course, a steady job might be the best possible thing for Amanda right now. Even if she just spent the entire hour taking phone calls and calling other celebrities ugly (i.e. doing an audio version of her Twitter account), it would give her an opportunity to channel her crazy ramblings into a legit comeback. She'd have to be accountable to somebody. She'd be forced to return to planet Earth.
So we're disappointed to learn that that Amanda has rejected Playboy's offer -- personal producer, private driver and all.
"I want to [do the show]," Bynes told TMZ. "But I can’t because I’m recording an album! I’ll go on their show for an interview when I’m promoting my album."
In case you'd forgotten, Bynes recently declared herself a "singer/rapper" with a "long and wonderful career" ahead of her. Also, she plans to make a music video with Rihanna. While flying a unicorn, we imagine. Therefore, Bynes is now an unemployed aspiring rapper, who has been kicked out of her apartment.
At least she's popular. The former child star is gaining around fifty thousand Twitter followers a day, and is steadily approaching the 2 million mark. She's also (finally) had her Twitter account verified, therefore debunking the conspiracy theory that it was a fake account.
While she's not working on her rap career or jumping on trampolines, Bynes claims she's getting additional nose jobs. She's also been hitting on Miley Cyrus' fiance Liam Hemsworth and Miley's LOL costar Tanz Watson.
Liam Helmsworth is the most gorgeous man on the face of the earth other than Tanz Watson. FYi!— Amanda Bynes (@AmandaBynes) June 4, 2013
Is there a Miley-Amanda Twitter feud brewing? If Bynes only had a radio show, we could call in and ask her...
