Amanda Bynes can't seem to stay out of the spotlight lately, despite the fact that she hasn't been in a film since 2010.
After being charged with two counts of hit-and-run, having her license suspended, receiving an official reminder to stop driving and finally having her car impounded, Bynes seems to be on a downward spiral -- at least when it comes to driving.
But Bynes' legal troubles aren't dragging the former child star down, People reports. The Easy A actress claims to be doing just fine! "I am doing amazing," she told People on Wednesday.
Don't expect the 26-year-old starlet to pop up in any movie projects any time soon, though, she explains. Her future is not about the big screen but about the Big Apple.
"I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line," added Bynes. "I am not talking about being arrested for DUI, because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false."
Bynes -- whose arraignment is scheduled on Sept. 27 -- might say she's fine, but her friends are reportedly concerned.
"People around Amanda are really concerned about her," a source, who has spent time with Bynes in recent months, tells People. "She tells people she doesn't party or drink. She doesn't realize she has a problem."
