It took a while, but after a streak of bewildering driving-related offenses, Amanda Bynes has officially been ordered to stop getting behind the wheel.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel told the 26-year-old Easy A actress' lawyer that she must not drive without a valid driver's license. Bynes hasn't had a valid license since Sept. 6, when hers was suspended after two counts of hit-and-run related to incidents in April and August.
No valid driver's license means giving up your right to drive. But the starlet was still stopped while driving on Sunday, when cops pulled her over for driving without her BMW's lights on, the Los Angeles Times reports. Additionally, TMZ claims its paparazzi followed Bynes driving in the San Fernando Valley on Tuesday -- while allegedly taking hits of marijuana from a pipe.
Considering the series of shocking driving problems Bynes has been involved in for the past six months, it's no surprise a judge had to formally remind the starlet she needs to surrender her keys.
Judge Revel, who presided over some of Lindsay Lohan's court appearances, explained to Bynes' attorney that despite what they thought, Bynes is not legally allowed to drive until her license has been reinstated.
The question is: Will Bynes abide by her license's suspension or continue to disregard the traffic laws? If she's convicted on both misdemeanor counts, she faces up to a year in jail. Bynes' arraignment is scheduled on Sept. 27.
