Amanda Bynes is having some mental and emotional troubles, and it's time that someone step up and help her. The 27-year-old has been turning to Twitter to share her problems with the world, and watching her downward spiral has become pretty upsetting.
It's no secret that Bynes has had a troublesome three years. From a slew of DUIs to getting her driver's license revoked to not appearing in court when she's supposed to, it's clear that she's not acting on her best instincts. But then there's Bynes' relationship with her Twitter account, which she seems to think has turned into her personal psychiatrist.
Bynes' latest confession is especially sad:
I have an eating disorder so I have a hard time staying thin.

But is this a cry for help? Or is it a plea to get gossip outlets to start using more flattering photos of her?
"I'm suing certain blogs and magazines saying I have a mental illness! They take pictures anytime I've gained weight then write a fake story!" Bynes tweets. "They write a news article about every tweet I write and I hate the pictures they choose. They repeat what I tweet then add a bad photo." She concluded with this message:
Only use photos from my twitter when writing an article about me.

We don't want to pull a Dina Lohan here, but where are Bynes' parents -- or any adult role model -- who can help her deal with the issues she's clearly having? Living on her own obviously isn't serving her very well. Bynes was once a very promising star, and it's sad to see her follow in the same footsteps as Lindsay Lohan. We're all for celebrities being open about their illnesses, and we hope this revelation signals that the former actress is seeking treatment. If not, we hope someone steps in to help her -- and soon.
