After In Touch reported this week that Amanda Bynes recently strode naked through a tanning parlor, the former teen star -- who apparently isn't looking for any new acting gigs -- says she's going to sue.
"I'm suing In Touch for printing a fake story," Bynes told Us Weekly on Thursday.
Witnesses at the tanning salon said Bynes looked "painfully thin" and that "she seemed totally out of it."
"[She] didn't seem to care that everyone saw her naked," a witness told In Touch.
Despite reports of Bynes walking through salons wearing nothing tanning googles, she’s asking for others to respect her privacy.
"I'm not 'troubled.'" Bynes tells Us Weekly. "I don't get naked in public. I'm 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy."
Bynes' desire to stay out of the public eye has been complicated by several highly publicized incidents and widespread concern that the one-time Nickelodeon star is out of control.
Bynes currently faces a DUI, two hit-and-run charges, and two separate charges for driving with a suspended license. Police have impounded her car.
Nevertheless, Bynes told People in late September that she's "doing amazing." At that time, Bynes, who last appeared in a movie in 2010, also said her acting days were over. She claimed she was moving to New York to start a fashion line.
