Actress Amanda Seyfried may be playing a porn star in her next movie, but don't expect to see her bare all. The 26-year-old actress, who plays Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming biopic Lovelace, tells Glamour that she's just not comfortable with full nudity.
"I'm pretty sure I would never do a full frontal in a movie," says Seyfried. "For personal reasons, I wouldn't really want to show that."
Her modesty comes as a bit of a surprise, only because the producer of Lovelace has been bragging about how much nudity his "very risque" movie contains. (Also, Seyfried has already done partial nudity, playing opposite Julianne Moore in the 2009 erotic thriller Chloe.) But during the interview, Seyfried makes it clear that she's got a conservative side when it comes to her roles -- and to her love life.
"I'm terrified of being promiscuous," says the single starlet, after admitting she had a "great time" dating several different men this summer. "I don't like the feeling you get when it's not something that you truly want to do, and I hate the emotional abuse you give yourself afterward. It's just uncomfortable when you're with somebody and you're like, 'I don't really know if I'm even comfortable with this. Why did I? Eww!' I think dating can come without sex."
"Right now I'm happy to not have someone's naked body around me," she jokes. "Except for my dog's."
Seyfried's last serious boyfriend was Dominic Cooper, her Mamma Mia! costar, whom she dated for more than three years. Since then, she's casually dated both celebs and ordinary guys -- and famously said last year that she'd never date her In Time costar Justin Timberlake. ("He seems so perfect... but, you know, he's really famous, which has its downsides," she explains to Glamour.) One reason she hasn't committed to a new relationship in almost two years? She's looking for someone who will go the distance.
"I think about kids all the time," Seyfried confesses. "I feel like the next person I commit to, that's going to be the guy who I'm going to have kids with. That's in my crazy female brain. So that's why I'm like, 'I can't commit.'"
And if she doesn't find Mr. Right soon, she and Cooper have a deal to make sure she gets those kids she wants. "We still joke about having kids, like, 'If it doesn’t work out with other people, we might as well just have a child,' she says. "And there’s a part of that that feels… possible."
