Amanda Seyfried Raps? Watch Her Rendition of "California Love"

The Les Miserables star fearlessly rocks the mic -- while wearing a frog hat

Holiday stress getting you down? Let Amanda Seyfried brighten your day by rapping in a frog costume!

During a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Les Miserables star recreated a memorable karaoke moment from the film's Japanese press tour. It's possibly the most adorable rap performance we have ever seen.

Watch below!

Prompted by Ellen DeGeneres, Seyfried revealed that she was drinking with her castmates at a Tokyo karaoke bar when she first made her rap skills public. "I had some sake. I took a frog costume from Anne Hathaway," Seyfried recalled. (What was Anne Hathaway doing with the frog costume in the first place? Ellen, these are the important questions you're supposed to ask!)

After DeGeneres supplied her with a frog mask and a shot of sake, Seyfried launched into a well-memorized version of Tupac and Dr. Dre's song "California Love." (That song, incidentally, came out in 1995; Seyfried would have been 10 years old.)

"You know what? When in doubt, just do a little rap," Seyfried told DeGeneres. We suspect at least one of her Les Miserables costars would agree. Last year, while promoting The Dark Knight Rises on Conan, Anne Hathaway busted into an original Lil Wayne-style rap about the paparazzi.

Want to see how the ladies of Les Mis stack up to other actresses in the rap department? Check out Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz swapping rhymes about Chelsea Handler, Rebel Wilson doing Salt-n-Pepa with Ellen DeGeneres, and Eva Longoria rapping on MTV Europe. Can somebody please turn this into a reality show? Rapping with the Stars would surely be a hit...
