This guy is trying to have sex with you and the clues are obvious.
The day: The first date is on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. These nights are unimportant to men. He will choose a place that is cheap, neighborhood-like, and extremely casual. He will not be waiting outside to greet you like a gentleman.
His appearance: He will be clean, but that's about it. This is the guy who puts a limited effort into his appearance. He will be dressed for comfort, not style.
His motive: He will appear to be "a gentleman" by ordering you a drink or two or three or four. He will need you in an inebriated state so that you will find his remedial humor cute.
His power move: After you have been sufficiently buzzed, he'll start talking about how his place is right around the corner, and how he would love your opinion on some rug or plant he just bought. If you don't take his pathetic bait and you remain in the bar, he will all of a sudden realize that it is starting to get late and remember he has an "early start tomorrow."
