My friend Jewels has provided us with yet another American Idol recap. Enjoy!
Ladies and gentlemen... Chris has left the building.
Back in the '50s, many people objected to Elvis' performances. But he became an idol and was even dubbed "The King." On this Elvis-themed week, America ejected a "favorite" to win the Idol competition, Chris Daughtry. This rock-solid voice had the least amount of votes. I'll miss those dimples!
Who was more shocked than Chris last night? Maybe Katharine? Holy shocker! The judges? The audience? You at home? Did you see this coming? You could see the disbelief in Chris' eyes.
When Ryan said "Chris," the rocker was ready to hug Kat and go over to join the guys over on the safe side. But Ryan finished: "You are going home." Katharine didn't know what to do. Chris was soaking it all in and you could almost feel the temperature rising.
As much as I can't believe it, I can. It does not surprise me that the cunning Kat slinked her way through to the next round. The only other time Chris was in the bottom three was the week he didn't rock out on stage. He really didn't rock out this week either. He lost the rocker vote.
Who rocked the house? Rebecca Romijn + Jerry O'Connell = idolholics, just like you and me. Now doesn't that make you feel good? From the audience, Romijn requested that Taylor rock the house again with his rendition of "Jail House Rock." He did, making it clear that he was the one who snatched that rocker vote.
Even if it was by one measly vote, Chris was sent packing. If he was your man and he went home because you didn't vote, well...
