This deep-voiced, guitar-strumming country singer was the first contestant named as a Top 13 finalist. At one point, Jennifer Lopez told him, "You can make a Bronx girl love country music." Though at first he seemed stuck on Josh Turner songs, performing both "Your Man" and "Long Black Train," he truly wowed the judges when he sang John Michael Montgomery's "Letters From Home," an emotional song about soldiers overseas. No doubt much of America's heartland was swooning.
Why he won: The guy's got a golden voice and didn't turn in a bad performance all season. Plus, with nicknames like "Scotty the Body" and "Scotty McHottie," chances are he had the majority of the female vote. Congrats, Scotty!
