David Hernandez was perhaps the best vocal in the competition. Kristy Lee Cook is at the other end of the spectrum. They were the bottom two contestants. But he had the least amount of votes. How could that be? David came in 12th place? It doesn't add up.
Hernandez is alive, energetic and knows how to work a room. The judges said last night that his "I Saw You Standing There" was overdone. Simon also added corny, verging on desperate and compared it to a "rabbit in headlights" performance.
He's always taken the judges criticism with a positive attitude. Come to think of it, he's actually too good to even bother with this competition anymore. You heard it straight from him, all things happen for a reason. We all have a plan...

Jim Carey says he's not plugging anything ;. He just loves the "show and the contestants." HA! What a goof.
The show will be less entertaining now, with David Hernandez gone. I might just even take back my comment about going to the AI tour this summer. When I said that Tuesday night -- I never thought Hernandez would be out. It goes to show you that no one is safe... talent or not. It's really turned into a popularity contest first. And a singing contest second.
What do you think of New feature: On the air with American Idol? I think they didn't go far enough with it. They should have let that guy who said he auditioned six times sing a little. It would have been funny.
