When someone breaks down on Idol, it's almost always a contestant who's been handed their walking papers. But it is judge Jennifer Lopez who can't hold herself together during the final Hollywood round when she has to tell 26-year-old Chris Medina -- whose devotion to brain-damaged fiancée Julia Ramos has made him a fan favorite -- that he hasn't made the show's top 24. Though Medina takes news of his elmination in stride, Lopez is reduced to an inconsolabe mess, sobbing: "I just don't feel like I told him in the right way. I didn't want to tell him no."
