After being in the bottom two last week, I think Saleisha learned a lesson in humility. This week, she says she's going to work hard to never end up there again. Janet, who is labeled the "mommy" of the house, says the ladies need to start cleaning up after themselves. She even makes a list of chores! Heather starts telling the girls what they need to work on. According to her, Ebony needs help all around, Bianca needs to show more emotion, and she herself, has an awkward body. Lisa says she over thinks everything, and it's apparent she's dealing with a lot of insecurities.
Tyra Mail brings the girls to a gymnasium where posing instructor Benny Ninja shows them how convey emotion while jumping on a trampoline. The ladies are falling all over the place! Ambreal is one of the few who rocks it though. It must be all of her experience from being a theatre major. Lisa holds back a lot. Benny says she needs more confidence.
Back at the house, Janet practices her walk and posing, while the girls run around the house naked. I’m starting to see why she’s taken the motherly role of in the home – someone needs to do it!
Next up, the girl’s are challenged to pose in the air while ice skating with Olympic champion Lloyd Eisler. Benny Ninja, Seventeen magazine’s editor Ann Shoket, and ANTM’s Cycle 6 winner Dani are there to judge. The winner of the challenge gets to pose in an ad for Seventeen with two of her friends and Dani! While on the ice, Heather has trouble getting in the air. She doesn’t seem to be letting her body go at all. Ambreal gives a really cheesy smile that she thinks will impress Benny, but he clearly is not feeling it. The judges ultimately give the prize to Lisa because they feel the emotions she showed were great. Lisa picks Janet and Ebony to join her on the shoot! While the win is probably a great boost in Lisa’s confidence, the other girls are just waiting to tear her down. Some of them talk about it behind her back saying she didn’t deserve it. Sounds like jealousy to me.
More Tyra Mail! “When you’re on top, never look down,” it reads, which suggests that the girls are doing something with heights. Ambreal is not happy about this. They meet Jay on top of a building in downtown L.A wear they are going to pose as gargoyles. Ambreal is already panicking as she is walking up to the roof -- it’s surprising that she makes it through the shoot. However she doesn’t do that great of a job as she makes the same face in every photo. Jay is also not that impressed with Janet. It seems like she constantly needs direction.
At panel, the judges rave over Lisa and Ebony’s photos. They love Chantal’s, as well. Nigel says Sarah’s picture is beautiful but not what they asked for – she didn’t try to look like a gargoyle at all. Tyra says that Bianca looks emotionally invested in her photo, and I say it’s about time! They tell Heather that she needs to stop giving so many profile shots and start looking at the camera. Jenah looks like a mess at panel. Someone needs to give that girl a brush! Nevertheless, they love her photo. Janet and Ambreal’s photos are their least favorite, and both girls end up in the bottom two.
Ultimately it is Janet who is sent home. “Mama Janet has left the building,” she says as she leaves. I thought she was great. This makes no sense. What do you guys think?
