Serve this slow-cooked stew with fresh warm bread or rolls for a thoroughly warming (and heart-warming) dinner.
| 3 cups cubed beef | 1 cup tomato juice | |
| 1 onion, cut into cubes | 1/2 cup flour | |
| 8 large potatoes, scrubbed and cubed | 1/4 cup margarine | |
| 2 cups carrots, sliced | 1/2 cup frozen peas | |
| 2 cups celery, sliced |
In a hot skillet with the margarine, brown beef and onion in flour.
Transfer browned beef and onion cubes to a slow-cooker.
Heat on low for 2 hours, then add vegetables and 1 cup tomato juice.
Heat for 1 or 2 more hours until ready to serve!
