Amy Winehouse Diagnosed with Skin Infection
Amy Winehouse is not having a hormonal break out. Nope, those aren't zits on her face -- they are bumps that are the result of a nasty skin infection.
"Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo, which she's been told can be highly contagious," her rep says. "Because of that, she's been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days."
Impetigo is itchy and can cause sores, if scratched -- it's more common in kids, who get all nicked up and dirty, but it can occur in healthy skin, as well.
Just a small, um, bump in the road for Amy. "She's fine," a pal told People.com. "She's not hiding away. She's never been one to care what people think."
I hope she's not one to rub her face against people, either. I'm itching just thinking about it.
