Add Ana Ortiz to the list of Hollywood moms looking to broaden their broods. The Ugly Betty star recently gave birth to a baby girl, but she already wants more.
But at age 38 she realizes that she can't wait forever to have another kid.
"I don't know when, but probably sooner than later," Ortiz told People.com. "You know the clock is ticking."
Ana's daughter, Paloma, was born just over four months ago, but she doesn't mind keeping the momentum going.
Whatever ends up happening, it looks like she and her musician husband, Noah Lebenzon, will be raising the family in her native New York. The Ugly Betty set recently relocated from Los Angeles to New York City.
"Being in New York, where I was born and raised, and sort of raising another New York kid has been a really cool experience for me," Ana said. "I was in L.A. for so long."
While making a family in a big city like New York might seem tough to those used to the comforts of suburbia, Ortiz has the benefit of family to help her out.
"My mom is my go-to," Ortiz said at a Lucky magazine event this week. "She comes to set with me and she takes care of [Paloma] while I'm filming. She is just sort of my right hand with the baby."
