The Hottest Dad of 2011!

James Tritle from North Pole, Alaska

"True 'beauty' comes from within.. My husband might be 'eye candy', but the best thing about him is that he is an amazing husband and father." -- Angela101081

Well said, and we totally agree! James beat out nearly 700 photo submissions to claim the title of the Hottest Dad of 2011, winning an amazing 7-day, 6-night tropical vacation for two at Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas! (Can we come too?)

In addition to the prize, this foxy military man also won his category of Hottest Military Dad! Check out the other hunky category finalists!

More to Love About James...

1. How does it feel like to win?

Unreal. I keep thinking I will wake up in the morning and it'll just be one of those crazy dreams!

2. Tell us a little about your kids.

Makayla is 8 (almost 9). She's our little leader. She's a competitive spirit that loves to be at the top! We sometimes call her 'Monica' after the character from Friends. She's a very helpful oldest sibling who is great at taking care of her younger siblings. Cameron is 7. He's the ball player. While gentle in nature he's a great little first year ball player. He babies his little sister a lot. They will be close as adults I'm sure. In a nutshell he's our most laid-back kid! Breanna is 4. She is the baby and knows it. She's sweet-natured but knows that she has most of us wrapped around her finger! All of them are really into swimming and riding bikes. They spend the most of their summers outside.

3. What’s the best thing about being a dad?

Seeing what kind of person you are responsible for helping to create. We hope they'll be great productive adults, so that is what we bring them up to be.

4. What are some of your hobbies/or what do you like to do with your free time?

Sounds crazy but I am a Lego enthusiast. I also love baseball and will be working towards fine tuning my coaching skills over the next few years to eventually coach high school baseball someday. Overall, I really just enjoy spending time with the family relaxing and enjoying Alaska

5. What do you do for a living?

I am a Fuels Specialist in the US Air Force. Will soon be member of the Alaska Air National Guard.
