Since 2001, Angelina Jolie has visited the Balkans, Sierra Leone, Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, Iraq, and Haiti in a mission to make the world aware of the plight of displaced people. Most recently, Jolie returned to Pakistan (pictured) to help find relief for the victims of its devastating flood. "You see people that have suffered things that you will never, ever know," the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador told the Today show in 2009. "And you know how lucky you are." The mom of six also donated $1 million to Doctors With Borders with partner Brad Pitt to help the Haitian earthquake relief efforts. "I was struck by the strength and spirit of the Haitian people," she said. "Children as young as nine months old were coping with amputations with extraordinary resilience."
