Angelina Jolie may have conquered many roles during her acting career, but she may be ready to just focus on one -- her role as a mom.
The 37-year-old actress and mother of six has been acting since the age of 7, and now she may be ready to put that period of her life behind her.
"I think I'm going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home," she tells Britain's Channel 4 News, via E! News.
She continues: "I have enjoyed being an actress. I am so grateful to the job and I have had great experiences and I have even be able to tell stories and be a part of stories that mattered and I have done things for fun, but ... if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children." Jolie also admitted, "I wake up in the morning as a mum and I turn on the news like everybody else and I see what's happening and I want to be part of the world in a positive way."
Her husband-to-be, Brad Pitt, is also planning to slowly bow out of the Hollywood scene. Within the last year, he's forewarned that he may start spending less time in front of the camera so that he can spend more time producing.
Fans of the power couple need not worry -- both Brad and Angelina have full schedules at the moment so they won't be disappearing any time soon. Pitt's Killing Them Softly just hit theaters and his next, World War Z, is slated to come out during the summer. He's also finished filming Steve McQueen's Twelve Years a Slave and Ridley Scott's The Counselor. Meanwhile, Jolie just wrapped the Disney film Maleficent, which also starred several of her children.
Also, we can do the math -- since Maddox, her eldest, is still a pre-teen, it sounds like Jolie still has a few more years of acting in her before she gives up Hollywood for good. Phew!
