Angelina Jolie Speaks Out for Pakistan Flood Relief

The charitable actress releases a new PSA to garner support for the flood victims in Pakistan

Do-gooder Angelina Jolie is at it again! The actress has released a new PSA to reach out for support for the victims of Pakistan’s flood through United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

"This is not just a humanitarian crisis," says Jolie, who's a goodwill ambassador for UNHCR. "It is an economic and social catastrophe. The more support we can give, the greater number of tents, food, clean water and medicine will get to the people in need."

According to the PSA, one fifth of Pakistan is currently under water, 20 million people are affected by the flood, with unsafe drinking water, lack of food, and the spread of disease is a continued and growing concern.

Since 2001, Jolie has visited Pakistan three times and has already donated 100,000 in aid for their most recent disaster.
